Calgary Badminton Tournament

By the grace of Allah, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Calgary organized a badminton tournament on 25th December2011 in Baitun Nur Mosque Gym.

Tournament was played on double basis. It started with a short address and prayers by respected local Murabbi sb along with Regional Qaid sahib Calgary at 11:00 AM. Sixteen teams, distributed in 4 groups, participated in this tournament. Tournament was designed to have 4 rounds in which first round was played on group base where each team played a match with every team in the group. Two best teams were selected from each group and then Quarter finals, semi finals and Final match was played on knock-out basis.

Final match was played after Magrib prayer. After the match Mukrram Ameer sb Calgary addressed the audience and distributed prizes among the winners. The program ended with silent prayers.
