Re: Majlis Ansar Sultan-ul-Qalam.

 My dear brother,

Assalaamo Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatahou!

I pray this message finds you and your family in peace and under the blessings of Allah. The subject of this message relates to a sacred matter.

The mission entrusted to the Promised Messiah (as) by Allah entailed an intellectual jihad with the pen against the colluding enemies of Islam to demonstrate the true beauty, veracity and infallibility of Islam’s teachings.

In pursuit of his mission, the Promised Messiah (as) left no moment of peace for his own life and was instead occupied day and night in an ultimate struggle to defend the Holy Prophet (sa) and Islam through employing every ounce of his being in this cause. His struggle was so intense that Allah Almighty addressed him in a revelation thus:

“Will you grieve yourself to death because they believe not?..”

By the singular blessing of Allah, he wrote a staggering 91 books spread over thousands of pages and penned hundreds of letters, as well as hundreds of handbills and announcements in his life-long jihad by the pen in defense of Islam. So unmatched, comprehensive, convincing, dumfounding, relentless and sublime were his writings, that Allah named him “Sultanul Qalam” (King of the Pen) in one of his revelations.

However, this struggle was not to end in his lifetime but was to continue, and indeed, after his demise, the Khulafa-e-Ahmadiyyat have faithfully, courageously and tirelessly worked to further his cause.

On Sunday, September 18, 2011, Hadrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa) addressed the Khuddam of the world in what history might very well bear out to be an historic occasion. After giving some heart-inspiring examples of youth from the time of the Holy Prophet (sa), Huzur passionately addressed all Khuddam, saying:

“…although this age is not the era in which defense by the sword or arrows is required, yet still even today, for the defense and protection of Islam and the Holy Prophet (saw), what is needed is the same zeal and enthusiasm that was shown by our fore-runners”

Drawing the attention of Khuddam to our grave responsibilities, Huzur (aa) said:

“There is a portion of the world that wishes to understand Islam, and it is only the Ahmadis who can portray the true picture of Islam, therefore there is great need to pay attention to this task…if our youth also are steeped in vanities, frivolities and useless pursuits and distractions, then who will mind and facilitate the needs of the truth seekers of the world?”

In 1922, Hadrat Musleh Mau`ud (ra) founded Majlis Ansar Sultanul Qalam (MASQ), an auxiliary organization which was established to form a body of Khuddam who would answer the call of the Masih and take up his intellectual propagation of Islam after him.

Huzur (aa) elevated the importance of MASQ to a new level, stressing its need, stating:

“… at this time it is not enough that 200, 300, or even 400 members of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya having joined Majlis Ansar Sultanul Qalam, have entered into the arena of tabligh. Instead rather, all of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya should partake in this, always keeping in mind the ordinance of Allah to vie with one another in good works”

In line with the wish and instructions of Huzur (aa), Muhtarram Sadr Sahib Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Canada has rehashed MASQ, giving it a new life and urgency.

This message hereby serves as a special and direct call to all Khuddam – willing and able – to join this blessed group. Therefore let him who will, come and answer the clarion call of the Promised Messiah (as) and enter the arena of the battle for truth, saying “Labbaik!”

MASQ membership requires the submission of at least one article per quarter-year.

These articles will be related to the defense and propagation of Islamic teachings and philosophy in some way. Ample assistance, guidance and support will be provided to all members who may require it through every stage of the writing process. These articles will be submitted to the MASQ Chairman, who will have them published InshAllah!
