Introduction & History

Introduction:

The blessed scheme of Tahrik-e-Jadid was launched by Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IIra in November 23rd 1934 to facilitate propagation of the message of Ahmadiyyat

throughout the world and to encourage Ahmadis to lead a simple life following traditions of Hadhrat Muhammadsa and his companions. The scheme has been instrumental in establishing missions and mosques in over one hundred countries.

History:

In 1934, a group called Majlis e Ahrar created a wave of strong opposition against Jama’at e Ahmadiyya. Their intent was to wipe out the name of Jama’at from the face of earth and have pledged not to rest until accomplishment of this task. Allah Almighty has blessed Jama’at with Spiritual Guide (Khalifahtul Masih) who is always there to comfort Jama’at and lead us through such sensitive times. In response to this strong agitation Hadhrat Musleh Ma’udra said:

“I see the earth slipping from under the feet of Ahrar. They say they will wipe out this Jama’at, but Allah Almighty has told me of a plan with which the Jama’at will spread in all countries of the world and no one will be able to destroy it.”

After receiving divine guidance from Allah Almighty Hadhrat Musleh Ma’udra initiated Tahrik e Jadid scheme and he commented following:

“The purpose of launching Tahrik-e-Jadid is to acquire such a fund with which Allah’s message can be delivered as far as the corners of the earth with ease and facility.”

At another occasion Huzur said:

“We need manpower to reach the entire world population. We need money to attain this noble goal. We need determination & steadfastness to accomplish this great task. We need desperate prayers to attain this purpose which could attract God’s special favors. A composition of all these things is known as Tahrik-e-Jadid.”  (Alfazal Vol 30. No 280)
