My dear brother,

Assalamo Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah Wa Barakatuhu!

I hope and pray that by the grace of Allah Almighty this letter finds you in the best of health and spirit (Ameen!).

It is my pleasure to invite and inform you that by the grace of Allah Almighty Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Canada Insha`Allah will be holding its 23<sup>rd</sup> Annual National Ijtima` on August 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th 2010 at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area in Stouffville, Ontario, only 23km north east of Bait’ul Islam Mosque. The Ijtima` will start right after Juma` prayer, offered at Ijtima` Gah.

Living in this great country called Canada, we are fortunate enough to practice our beliefs as we see fit without any fear of repercussions. But, our responsibility does not remain limited to this country; we are responsible for the entire world. To accomplish this task, we require spiritual training. The National Ijtima‘ of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya is where Khuddam get an opportunity to enhance their spirituality. This responsibility of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya has been described so beautifully by Hazrat Musleh Mau‘ud (ra) on 30^th October, 1952. His Holiness said:

“The purpose of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya is that whenever an opportunity for sacrifice presents itself not ninety nine but a hundred percent of members must partake. If this spirit of sacrifice is instilled within you then no nation in the world can stand against you. These are the blessings of Allah that majority of you are in a country where the government follows the Islamic principles of democracy and doesn’t condone the persecution of its citizens. However you are not be constrained to reside in one country; you have to carry the flag of Islam and Ahmadiyyat throughout the world. There are still certain countries in the world where atrocities are committed in the name of religion; where they try to change religious beliefs in people’s hearts through the use of the sword. It is your responsibility that you prepare yourself for these types of regimes, so that when the time comes, you will not show any weakness.” (Mashal-e-Rah volume 1, pg. 642)

It is my sincere hope that we are able to aspire to the true potential of a Khadim as set forth by Hazrat Musleh Mau‘ud (ra).
