GENERAL RULES FOR ALL COMPETITIONS

  1. Cap is mandatory in all competitions
  2. Check your name prior to the start of competition. No name will be added after a competition has started
  3. Decision of the judges will be final
  4. Participation criterion given above will be strictly followed in all competitions
  5. The exam of Friday Sermons for the Regional Ijtima`at / qualifiers will be prepared by Regions themselves, whereas that for the National Ijtima` will be prepared by National  Markaz
  6. The marking criterion of every competition is given below:


TILAWAT

Criterion Description: Total: 30 marks

  • Correct Pronunciation – Correct Talafuz, use of appropriate punctuation etc. (10 marks)
  • Qir‘at – Overall sweetness of delivery  (10 marks)
  • Voice – Appropriate delivery, volume and speed (10 marks)


NAZM

Repetition of the couplets is not permitted

Criterion Description:                            Total: 30 marks

  • Correctness of pronunciation. Stops at appropriate punctuation.                   (10 marks)
  • Melody – Overall sweetness of delivery                                                        (10 marks)
  • Voice – Appropriate delivery, volume and speed                            (10 marks)


HIFZ-E-QUR’AN

Participants are expected to memorize everything. Judges may request participants to begin reciting from any point within the syllabi.

Format:

  1. Separate marks will be awarded for correct Talafuz
  2. No Hafiz-e-Qur’an can participate


IMPROMPTU SPEECHES

Format:

  1. Open to all Khuddam.
  2. Speech time is 2 minutes.
  3. The topic for the speech will be given at the time of the competition. 2 minutes for preparation will be provided.
  4. The speeches must be presented in a dignified and presentable manner befitting the occasion of the National Ijtima`.


ENGLISH & URDU SPEECHES

Time allowed for both English & Urdu speeches is 4 minutes

Criterion Description:  Total: 30 marks

  • Style of delivery, confidence and continuity                                            (10 marks)
  • Content – Use of verses of the Holy Qur’an, Ahadith, Quotations and / or Poetic Verses, Knowledge/Research of Subject (15 marks)
  • Oral – Presents the speech from memory                                    (5 marks)


HUTBAT-E-IMAM QUIZ

  1. This quiz will be open to all Khuddam
  2. Written multiple choice question based Quiz in English
  3. Question will be covered from the prescribed Sermons of Khalifatul Masih (aa)
  4. Total time duration will be 30 minutes


GENERAL KNOWLEDGEQUIZ QUALIFIER (QUARTERLY BOOKS, NAMAZ TRANSLATION & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE)

  1. This Quiz will be compulsory for all Khuddam
  2. A written quiz will be provided to Khuddam in the English language with instructions on the quiz paper.
  3. Top 5 to 10 Khuddam of this quiz will participate in General Knowledge Quiz
  4. Total time duration will be 30 minutes

 

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ

  1. Only 5 to 10 selected Khuddam will participate in this quiz
  2. The format of the quiz will be verbal
  3. A panel of 5 to 6 guests will ask questions from each candidate
  4. The questions will be answered as asked by the Panel. The selection of questions will depend on the panel but they will consist of both general as well as religious Knowledge


INTER UNIVERSITY QUR’AN QUIZ

  1. Only AMSA members can participate in this competition
  2. 2 members team from AMSA will participate in this quiz
  3. The format of the quiz will be verbal
  4. There will be two rounds; in the first round questions will be asked from individual whereas in the second round any member of the team can answer the question


I.Q. QUIZ / OBSTACLE RACE

  1. This quiz / race will be open for all Khuddam
  2. An answer sheet will be handed over to all those who want to participate on which they will first fill their names and Majlis information
  3. 20 Khuddam will start the race at one time and the start time will be same for all of them which they’ll note on their answer sheets
  4. Khuddam will go to different stands / counters where a volunteer will give them a I.Q. question sheet
  5. There will be three to four such stands / counters
  6. Khuddam will be independent to go to the stands / counters in any sequence
  7. Khuddam will solve that I.Q. question and write the answer on the answer sheet given to them. After writing the answer, they will return the question sheet to the volunteer and will go to the next stand / counter
  8. After finishing all the I.Q. questions, Khuddam will submit their answer sheet to another volunteer(s) who will also note their time and write it on the answer sheets while collecting them
  9. Winning criterion is based on solving the questions correctly as well as the time taken to solve the questions


MESSAGE RELAY

  1. One team from every Majlis can participate and can choose language like English or Urdu for the message.
  2. Each team will comprise of five (5) members.
  3. Message will be read three times to first member. The first member must only listen to the message and cannot write anything down.
  4. The member will stand in the dedicated spot, and the next person will come and get the message from him. Once this is done, the first person will leave and then the next person will come in the dedicated spot to receive the message. This will continue until the last person reaches the dedicated spot to receive the message. Once he has received the message, he will then write the message down on the provided piece of paper.
  5. Total 10 minutes will be given to convey the message to the last person. No one, except for the last member in the team is permitted to write the message. The message must be committed only to memory and then relayed to the person down the chain.
  6. 2 minutes will be allocated for the last person to write the message who will than pass the message to the judges



BA’IT BAZI

Format:

  1. The team will comprise of two (2) members. One team per zila` is allowed
  2. The couplets will be based on Durre Samin, Kalame Mehmood, Kalame Tahir and Durre Adan only
  3. Competition will be conducted on knock out basis
  4. 60 seconds will be given to deliver response. If a couplet is recalled within 60 minutes then another 2 minutes will be given to deliver it completely. After which the team will be knocked out
  5. Decision of the judges will be final
